A while ago I so a little review in American Woodworker about some screw type adjusters you could install on your table saw trunions to make easy micro adjustments for blade alignment. I really need these as my trunions have a hard time holding their set. They were from J-L or D-L or J-D Industries or something. I have been looking for them everywhere but can't find any info.
Has anyone heard of these or something similar?

Re: Table Saw Trunion Adjusters
Fri, June 23, 2006 - 10:23 AMThey were likely a cam type deal. I'd not bother. It's a fair bet that a few minutes on google would obtain a hit if the thing had been well received by the market.
I'd wonder that anything you put between the bolt and the seats might prove to be troublesome causintg the maching to lose true more readily.
Are you running a cabinet or a hybrid or a contractor's saw? Does it stay true?

Fri, June 23, 2006 - 10:24 PMHave you used a dial indicator to determine how far off your TS is? If you can get one: they're dirt cheap over at HF. Fix it to something that slides in the T-slot track and run the probe along the blade.

Re: Table Saw Trunion Adjusters
Fri, June 30, 2006 - 7:03 AMThey were screw adjust with a lock nut I think, not cam.
I am running a contractor style table saw.
Yes I have a dial indicator set up for testing alignment and it seems to average around 0.03" out of alignment with the back of the blade closer to the fence side.
